FontAgent Pro Server 2.5 Adds Leopard and Active Directory Support

Zero-configuration enterprise directory is said to be a font-industry first.
The FontAgent Pro font management system is designed with creative professionals in mind, delivering diagnostics, repair, font selection, font book creation and design tools within a single application. The Server iteration builds on this by including server-based performance and reliability, support for multiple font libraries and formats, distribution and synchronization of fonts, and the ability to administer fonts, sets, users and groups.
FontAgent Pro Server 2.5 provides professional font management, with integrated diagnostics and repair, to entire departments and enterprises. Administrators have control over font use by providing access to only those fonts that have been designated for specific users, groups and projects. It also performs such tasks as storing purchase and license information, making it easier to manage and re-order fonts. The new version eases access to user information stored in Active Directory servers and handles all directory services setup.

Version 2.5 has also been updated to take advantage of Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) and does not require the server version of the OS, while continuing to run on OS X 10.4. Insider Software also claims this is the first font server to take advantage of Apple's latest Intel multi-core processors.
