Call for Entries - Command X: Season 2

Command X, the live graphic design reality show taking place this October at the AIGA Design Conference, is still open for entries.

The 2009 AIGA Design Conference, dubbed Make/Think, will explore the dual roles of designers as makers of beautiful things and strategic problem solvers. To be held October 8-11, 2009, in Memphis, Tennessee, the event will include main stage speakers, dozens of specialized affinity sessions, roundtables with design luminaries, hands-on activities, workshops, studio tours, networking and Command X: Season 2.

Throughout the conference, seven contestants will take on a series of design challenges to complete and present on the main stage within 24 hours. Command X will be hosted by Pentagram partner Michael Bierut and judged by a panel of judges that includes Bonnie Siegler of Number 17, Chip Kidd, graphic designer and author, and "some surprise guest judges". Sean Adams, AIGA president and AdamsMorioka, Inc. partner, will mentor and guide the contestants through the process. The winner will receive $1,000 in cash, Adobe CS4 Design Premium, a complete set of limited edition Punct'd posters, provided by Neenah Paper, and an iPhone with the “Think Ink: Color Unleashed” application, also provided by Neenah Paper.
